Someone defined father like this: ‘A father is a man who carries pictures in his purse where his money used to be.’ A father may be described in various ways! God had sent to us love in various forms and one of them is you, the Father. In the Book of Exodus God commands us (20.12) ''honor your father and you mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.'' One reason God commanded us to honor our father is because of the meaning of the word ''father.'' In the verb form, the word ‘'father’ means ‘the founder, to be the foundation, to author. ''You Fathers are the authors of our home! And God wants you to author a God-loving, God-fearing and God-honoring home! You are one of the most influential people in our life. Pope Leo remembers his father “My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.” The greatest gift therefore you Fathers giving to your children is the unwavering faith that a father shows in his children which is the most important ingredient of human existence. Pope John 23rd said, “It is easier for a father to have children than for children to have a real father.”
A small boy's definition of Father's Day: "It's just like Mother's Day only you don't spend as much." You, fathers don’t spend much on celebrations, but much on life, making endless sacrifices for your family and we fail to recognize them most of the times. You, fathers should be admired for what you do for everyone in the family. So, dear ones, we remember and appreciate you all in a special way. And, we would like to say, we love you guys and Happy Father’s Day.
